Thank you for visiting my website! I am honored, humbled, and pleased to share with you a bit (no pun intended!) of my background. My name is Marcian Diamond. I am a software engineer specializing in full stack web development. I was born in San Francisco, but now reside in a small mountain town in the Mother Lode region of the Sierra Nevada.
I carry a deep fascination with the seemingly limitless applications of computing technologies and how they may be leveraged to improve the lives of all people.
My mother immigrated from Belarus to the United States and I am a first generation American. In her immediate circle of friends from the Motherland, were very talented computer engineers who presented to me, perhaps six years of age at the time, my first computer. I was immediately intrigued by this machine and pondered how humanity could conceive such an awesome, powerful device.
In December 2013, I earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering with High Honors from San Francisco State University. My major area of emphasis was is computer science, particularly software engineering and internet application design and development. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my classmates, instructors, and professors for their support and encouragement during those years where the balding area atop my head increased proportionally to the engineering knowledge I obtained.
Working with the latest technologies to solve seemingly perplexing problems, I wish to demonstrate that software engineering is a collective process. With a foundation in electrical engineering and computer science, I’ve had the opportunity to lead and partake in a variety of technical projects.
Outside of the web domain, yet still well within the realm of computers, I enjoy exploring OOP with Java, software techniques for computer music, digital design, and analog circuits.
